A special message from Glen Reynolds

I wanted to let you know about a new option we are starting to offer through Indie Film Weekly, our newsletter and podcast covering new independent film releases.

The newsletter now reaches 9,000+ subscribers, including filmmakers, producers, distributors, sales agents, festival people, and indie film fans. The current reported open rate is 43.88%, so a typical issue is reaching roughly 4,000+ engaged readers.

This is for films currently in release, heading into release, playing festivals, crowdfunding, or available on TVOD or AVOD platforms; we are now offering Sponsored Spotlight placements in the newsletter.

These are not banner ads. They are clean, editorial-style sponsored placements that fit within the Indie Film Weekly format and are clearly marked as sponsored. The goal is to give your film a credible, targeted push in front of an audience that is already interested in independent film.

Current options include:

  • Single Sponsored Spotlight: $200
One placement in one weekly issue. Good for a festival screening, trailer push, release reminder, crowdfunding announcement, or general awareness.

  • Launch Month Campaign: $650
One placement per week for four consecutive weeks. Good for a theatrical opening, digital launch, festival run, or campaign where repeated visibility matters.

  • TVOD Window Campaign: $950
Six placements across 90 days, running every other week. Good for films available to rent or buy on Apple TV, Amazon, Fandango at Home, Google/YouTube, and similar platforms.

  • AVOD Long-Tail Campaign: $850
Six placements across six months, running once per month. Good for films available on Tubi, Pluto TV, Freevee, Plex, Roku Channel, or other free streaming platforms.

We can also offer a dedicated solo email to the full list for a larger announcement, such as a release date, crowdfunding deadline, festival premiere, or “now streaming” campaign. Those will be limited to avoid overloading the list.

To be clear, this is not a guarantee of rentals, purchases, festival interest, distribution offers, or press coverage. It is an awareness and traffic tool. But for the right film at the right moment, it can be a cost-effective way to get the project in front of a focused indie film audience.

If you are interested, send an email to my team. We need to make sure your film is the right fit for our audience.
